Things We Can Buy, Sell, or Sponsor

PIzza Sales - Held in the fall upon returning to school, the pizza sale generated about $2,000 in profit in 2007. H&S commitment points are also awarded based on how many products you sell (two points per item). Money is due 10/14. Please make checks payable to St. Mary Home & School Association. Blue Jay Run/Walk - Held in the fall, the Blue Jay Run donates funds raised to general needs of he School and Parish, such as the security system on the North door, new mats for the gym, soccer nets for the playground and so on. The 2009 Run is being held on October 10 and while it is a separate entity, H&S points are being awarded this year for volunteers.

You can participate in the event , work at the event or become an event sponsor.

Gold Canyon Candles - Just in time for Holiday gift giving each school family can take orders for these wonderful candles and earn H&S points for each sale. The 2009 Candle Sale is underway! Order forms are due in the school office on or before 11/3.



Scholastic Book Fair/Book Orders - A favorite amongst the students is the annual Scholasic Book Fair. This event generates revenue for the school library. If you can't make it to the Book Fair, teachers send home book order forms throughout the year and earn books for the classrooms. The 2009 Fall Book Fair is being held October 22- 28 in the downstairs hallway.



Pointsettia Sale - A variety of pointsettia plants are sold in late November for an early December delivery. Earn H&S points for each item sold.



Candy Sale - Held in the spring, a variety of Seroogy's Candy and Vande Walles candy bars are offered for sale. Points earned equal half the dollar amount you sell.



Time and Talent Drawing and Breakfast - Held in the spring, dozens of items are donated by the School, Parish and Community - from get-aways to baked goods. Funds are raised by chances sold for each item along with a delicious breakfast and bake sale.



Babysitting by the 7th & 8th Grade Classes - For just $1 per child, students in the 7th and 8th grade classes will babysit during Home & School meetings.



Water For Sale - The Eighth grade class sells bottled water for $1 each in their classroom to raise funds for their class trip.



Basketball Games and Concession Stand - Come cheer for your favorite team! Ticket sales from the door support the Booster Club while the Eighth grade class earns money from concession stand sales.




WinterFest - This fun filled family event takes place in late January or early February. Buy raffle tickets, eat dinner, win a cake, play games with the kids or bid on your favorite items.



Home and School Trout Boil - Held in late winter/early spring, usually on a Friday evening during Lent in the school cafeteria. Enjoy the wonderful food and great company.



Spring Flower Sale - New in 2009! Sell 10" hanging flower baskets!



Wheelathon - Students get sponsors and bike, pedal and push their scooters around the neighborhood in the Spring.
